“International Conference on seismic technology of building structures” has been held for six times since it was held in 2008. Among them, the “first aseismic technology exchange meeting of building structures – Wenchuan earthquake damage investigation and suggestions for future engineering aseismicity” was held in Nanjing in September 2008, with a total of more than 500 people attending the meeting. In May 2012, after careful preparation and deliberation, the second International Conference on building structural seismic technology was held in Nanjing again. This time it was upgraded to an international conference. Nearly 450 delegates from China, the United States, Britain, Japan and other regions of China, including Taiwan and Hongkong, attended the event. In April 2013, “the Third International Conference on seismic technology of building structures and the Symposium on engineering seismic design and application of new technologies for the fifth anniversary of Wenchuan earthquake” was moved to Chengdu, attended by nearly 500 experts and engineering technicians. In September 2014, the Fourth International Conference on building structural seismic technology was held in Nanjing (click to see details). Nearly 450 delegates from China, the United States, Britain, Japan and other countries in China and Taiwan participated. On July 14-16, 2016, “the Fifth International Conference on seismic technology of building structures” continued to be held in Nanjing (click to see the details), and about 400 representatives attended the event. In 2018, on the 10th anniversary of the May 12 Wenchuan earthquake, the “6th International Conference on seismic technology of building structures and the 10th anniversary summit forum of Wenchuan earthquake” was held in Chengdu from April 18 to 20 (click to view the details). Nearly 600 representatives from home and abroad attended the meeting.
In 2020, it is the 70th anniversary of the establishment of CSCEC southwest design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., so it is decided to hold the “7th International Conference on seismic technology of building structures and 2020 annual meeting of structural branch of China Survey and Design Association” in Chengdu from October 15 to 16. This meeting will continue to build a platform for seismic technology exchange, Invite relevant experts to share the latest research results and practical experience of engineering projects. Relevant personnel from design, scientific research, construction, government, real estate, drawing review, quality supervision and management, reinforcement identification and testing and other units are welcome to actively sign up for the meeting and jointly celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of CSCEC southwest design and Research Institute Co., Ltd.
